The work of accumulating ideas and knowledge with studies and readings is usually congestive and counterproductive if they are not ordered and embodied through writing in treatises and books. They end up in clouds of confused vapors that envelop the brain and produce the superficial and incoherent illustrations. This publication creates from now on the circus of literary tournaments and offers it to the students so that they can attend to train themselves in the art of expressing their ideas, their conceptions and acquired knowledge, by means of writing. La falta de la Revista Universitaria, postergada indefinidamente, y con pesar de muchos, el órgano que debía provocarlas muchas y grandes energías intelectuales, que se mantenían, indecisas en unos y comprimidas en otros, en este viejo centro del saber. La labor de acumular ideas y conocimientos con estudios  y lecturas, de ordinario suele ser congestiva y contraproducente si no se ordenan y encarnan por medio de la escritura en tratados y libros. Acaban en nubes de vapores confusos que envuelven el cerebro y producen las ilustraciones superficiales e incoherentes. Esta publicación crea desde ahora el circo de torneos literarios y lo ofrece a  los estudiantes para que concurran a adiestrarse en el arte de expresar sus ideas, sus concepciones y conocimientos adquiridos, por medio de la escritura.
