| Sumario: | The Catholic Worker Youth (the J.O.C.) was founded in Argentine in 1940 andit was the first catholic experience that worked from and with the labour identityof the people. This article deals with the JOC, and specially with the relation between catholicidentity, working-class and how both were passed by the condition of being“young”. It’s object is the reconstruction of the conformation process of jocismimaginary through its labour and religious aspects. Then I intend to relate threekinds of identity forms: labour, catholic and age group identities. From jocismsocial ideal I will study the role of young workers and trade unions in it, the notion over workers that they support, the examples of life that they choose andthe adversaries that jocism was building. Finally I’ll see the use of symbols andpractices that reinforce association belonging to the movement. |
