In this way, Oroño’s figure seems specially atractive because his works are registered in the strong controversy between “civilization and barbarity” that kept River Plate’s intellectuals busy during a long part of that centrury, although in his case, from problems related to the Provincial State. On the other hand, because Oroño was a vigorous publicist and an active politician that occupied the center of Santa Fe’s political scene, at least for a decade. |
