The objective is to analyze the fluctuations of ecclesiastical credit in relation to the transformations suffered by the regional economic situation, but also considering the relationship with the political changes of the period affecting the Church. In addition, we will study the credit mechanisms used and the main lenders. We intend to specify the effects on the development of credit of ecclesiastical origin of a first economic period (1800-1810) of relative prosperity of the export sector and stable trade balance and of a second moment (1811-1830) of crisis of the export sector and monetary shortage. At the same time, we will contemplate in our analysis the institutional and economic instability that affected the Church of Cordoba during these three decades, in the first one as a result of the colonial royalist policy and, in the following two, as a consequence of the economic demands and the interventions in ecclesiastical affairs by the national and provincial governments. Nos proponemos realizar un estudio del crédito otorgado por la Iglesia de la ciudad de Córdoba entre 1800 y 1830, basando nuestra investigación en los contratos de crédito eclesiástico registrados ante el notario. El objetivo es analizar las fluctuaciones del crédito eclesiástico en relación con las transformaciones que sufre la situación económica regional, pero también considerando la relación con los cambios políticos del período que afectan a la Iglesia. Además, estudiaremos los mecanismos crediticios empleados y los principales prestamistas. Pretendemos precisar los efectos en el desenvolvimiento del crédito de origen eclesiástico de un primer período económico (1800- 1810) de relativa bonanza del sector exportador y balanza comercial estable y de un segundo momento (1811-1830) de crisis del sector exportador y de escasez monetaria. Al mismo tiempo, contemplaremos en nuestro análisis la inestabilidad institucional y económica que afecta a la Iglesia de Córdoba durante estas tres décadas, en la primera como resultado de la política colonial regalista y, en las dos siguientes, como consecuencia de las demandas económicas y de las intervenciones en los asuntos eclesiásticos por parte de los gobiernos nacionales y provinciales.
