It exposes the criteria adopted, the instruments developed and the methodologies used for the collection, description, analysis and systematization of the information of audiovisual documents, "television news" of the period 1962/80, preserved in that Archive. Within this framework, it is proposed to relate the experience with contributions produced in the field of documentation. El propósito de este artículo es dar a conocer aspectos del trabajo de inves- tigación y desarrollo que permitieron encarar procesos centrales de la recuperación del Archivo Fílmico Canal 10, entendiendo que pueden aportar elementos para la sistematización de otros fondos semejantes, como también al debate sobre el tema. Expone los criterios adoptados, los instrumentos desarrollados y las metodologías empleadas para la recolección, descripción, análisis y sistematización de la información de documentos audiovisuales, “noticias televisivas” del período 1962/80, conservados en ese Archivo. En ese marco, se pro- cura poner en relación la experiencia realizada con aportes producidos en el campo de la documentación.
