Sumario:In 21st-century Argentina, the history of war is produced by two historiographical currents clearly differentiated by their approaches, methods, themes, documentary sources and institutional inscription of their practitioners. Based on an analysis of Carl von Clausewitz's thinking and critical interpretations of On war, the article proposes an academic discussion that challenges both historiographic perspectives.
