Sumario:This article analyzes the material and symbolic devices that defined the educational program during anti-personalism (1937-1943) in the province of Santa Fe. Understanding anti-personalism in terms of political culture as an orderly construction that -lacking legitimacy- he resorted to revising and reinterpreting the patrician, conservative and catholic past of the second half of the 19th century. In a context of crisis of liberal representation (dominated by fraud), the past was the object of the construction of alternative legitimacy that was combined with a program of state centralization, an unprecedented public works plan, and an agenda of commemorations. The Ministry of Public Instruction and Development (led by the idealist pedagogue Juan Mantovani), the Directorate of Public Works (DOPP) and the Board of Historical Studies (JEH) constituted state agencies and devices that are part of the present investigation.
