Santa Fe was then one of the twelve provinces governed by Peronism. The governor privileged the claim for federal co-participation when difining the relationship with the national government. In 1986, López’s birth bicentennial offered the opportunity to update certain aspects of the past in a staging marked by the conjuncture of its enunciation. In order to carry out the analysis, the network of relationships between the present and the remembered past, the intervention of different agents and their productions, as well as the physical sites where the commemorative actions took place will be considered. Este artículo aborda la conmemoración del bicentenario del nacimiento del caudillo provincial Estanislao López, que tuvo lugar en los primeros años de la reconstrucción democrática en la Argentina. Santa Fe era por entonces una de las doce provincias gobernadas por el peronismo. En su definición de la relación con el gobierno nacional, el gobernador privilegió el reclamo por la coparticipación federal. En 1986, el bicentenario del nacimiento de López ofreció la oportunidad de actualizar determinados aspectos del pasado en una puesta en escena marcada por la coyuntura de su enunciación. Se considera la trama de relaciones entre presente y pasado rememorado, la intervención de distintos agentes y sus producciones, así como los sitios físicos donde tuvieron lugar las acciones conmemorativas.
