| Sumario: | This article addresses the commemoration of Estanislao López’s birth bicentennial, that took place in the first years of democratic reconstruction in Argentina. Santa Fe was then one of the twelve provinces governed by Peronism. The governor privileged the claim for federal co-participation when difining the relationship with the national government. In 1986, López’s birth bicentennial offered the opportunity to update certain aspects of the past in a staging marked by the conjuncture of its enunciation. In order to carry out the analysis, the network of relationships between the present and the remembered past, the intervention of different agents and their productions, as well as the physical sites where the commemorative actions took place will be considered. |
