This book allows us to walk through the story of her life captured in different works and performances, where her body-territory expresses the oppressions of racism, sexism, classism, exile and uprooting; but from which he manages to transmute that pain and become a bird of the ocean. The text, crossed by different categories such as art, feminism, intersectionality, colonialism, allows us to understand the importance of the figure of Ana and the traces of her work in feminism. A través de la obra “pájarodelocéano”, Karina Bidaseca nos invita a conocer el “legado cultural, político y artístico feminista y cuir” (2021: 10) de la artista cubana Ana Mendieta. Este libro nos permite transitar la historia de su vida plasmada en diferentes obras y performances, en donde su cuerpo-territorio expresa las opresiones de racismo, sexismo, clasismo, exilio y desarraigo; pero a partir de las cuales logra transmutar ese dolor y devenir pájaro del océano. El texto, atravesado por diferentes categorías como arte, feminismo, interseccionalidad, colonialismo, nos permite comprender la importancia de la figura de Ana y las huellas de su trabajo en el feminismo. Por meio da obra "pássarodooceano", Karina Bidaseca nos convida a conhecer o "legado cultural, político e artístico feminista e cuir" (2021: 10) da artista cubana Ana Mendieta. Este livro nos permite viajar pela história de sua vida, encarnada em diferentes obras e performances, nas quais seu corpo-território expressa as opressões do racismo, sexismo, classismo, exílio e desenraizamento; mas a partir das quais ela consegue transmutar essa dor e se tornar um pássaro do oceano. O texto, atravessado por diferentes categorias como arte, feminismo, interseccionalidade, colonialismo, nos permite compreender a importância da figura de Ana e os rastros de seu trabalho no feminismo.
