Publishing studies in Brazil seek its consolidation in several ways. The topics of investigation and discussion have diversified over the years, as have the objects of interest of researchers from various parts of the country. The gender perspective has proven productive and this article presents part of our investment in investigating the role of women in the Brazilian editorial field. Based on a notion of women's editorial modus operandi throughout history, in this work we address important methodological issues, especially the difficulties of finding sources of research about women publishers. Based on bibliography, editorial collections and interviews, we focus our attention on the cases of a Brazilian writer, two publishers and a literary agent from the 20th and 21st centuries. With this, it was possible to observe their trajectories and think about social and editorial issues related to women in the Brazilian editorial field.

Los estudios de edición en Brasil han buscado su consolidación de varias maneras. Los temas de investigación y discusión se diversificaron, a lo largo de los años, así como los objetos de interés de investigadores e investigadoras de varias partes del país. La perspectiva de género se ha mostrado productiva y este artículo presenta parte de nuestra inversión en la investigación del rol de las mujeres en el campo editorial. Bajo la noción de un modus operandi editorial de las mujeres, a lo largo de la historia, en este trabajo abordamos cuestiones metodológicas importantes, especialmente sobre las dificultades de encontrar fuentes de investigación sobre editoras. Basadas en registros bibliográficos, editoriales y en entrevistas, fijamos nuestra atención en los casos de una escritora, dos editoras y una agente literaria brasileñas de los siglos XX y XXI. Con esto, es posible mirar sus trayectorias y pensar sobre las cuestiones sociales y editoriales relacionadas a las mujeres en el campo editorial brasileño. Os estudos de edição no Brasil buscam sua consolidação de várias maneiras. Os temas de investigação e discussão se diversificaram, ao longo dos anos, assim como os objetos de interesse de investigadores e investigadoras de várias partes do país. A perspectiva de gênero tem se mostrado produtiva e este artigo apresenta parte de nosso investimento na investigação do papel das mulheres no campo editorial. A partir de uma noção de um modus operandi editorial das mulheres, ao longo da história, neste trabalho abordamos questões metodológicas importantes, especialmente sobre as dificuldades de encontrar fontes de investigação sobre editoras. Baseadas em registros bibliográficos, editoriais e em entrevistas, fixamos nossa atenção nos casos de uma escritora, duas editoras e uma agente literária brasileiras dos séculos XX e XXI.
