Sumario:This article presents a path articulated as a possible debate in the field of Latin American political science. It is proposed as an analytical exercise of the epistemological conditions of the construction of political knowledge in Latin America. For this purpose, it offers a conceptual framework that recovers theoretical contributions linked to the sociology of scientific knowledge, the conceptual history, as well as decolonial and postcolonial traditions, claiming their relevance to address problems such as the pretension of neutrality, the link between theory and politics, epistemological racism, rational knowledge and the setting of epistemic authorities. It also postulates the possibility of rethink the link between politics, history and language as a key to an epistemological discussion. of political thought.
