In this way, the two texts written by the danish scientist in the year 1820 (one translated from Latin to English), which were published by the journal Annals of Philosophy, are presented. They first detail the experience that took place and some of the ideas that Oersted established to give meaning to the observed phenomenon. Subsequently, new experiments are established within the framework of what he assumed as electromagnetism. El presente escrito da un panorama acerca de la electricidad y el magnetismo al terminar el siglo XVIII y al iniciar el siglo XIX, contexto en el cual, se tiene la invención de la pila de Alessandro Volta, y el desarrollo de la experiencia de la aguja de Hans Christian Ørsted, ambos hechos fundamentales en el encausamiento de las prácticas experimentales y en la constitución de los cuerpos teóricos de las ciencias. De esta manera, se presentan los dos textos escritos por el científico danés en el año de 1820 (uno traducido del latín al inglés), los cuales fueron publicados por la revista Annals of Philosophy. En ellos se detalla en primer lugar la experiencia que tuvo lugar y algunas de las ideas que estableció Ørsted para darle un sentido al fenómeno observado. Posteriormente, se establecen nuevos experimentos en el marco de lo que asumió como electromagnetismo. A presente escrita traça um panorama da eletricidade e do magnetismo no final do século XVIII e início do século XIX, contexto em que se dá a invenção da bateria por Alessandro Volta, e o desenvolvimento da experiência da agulha por Hans Christian Ørsted, tanto fatos fundamentais na canalização das práticas experimentais quanto na constituição dos corpos teóricos das ciências. Desta forma, são apresentados os dois textos escritos pelo cientista dinamarquês no ano de 1820 (um traduzido do latim para o inglês), que foram publicados pela revista Annals of Philosophy. Eles primeiro detalham a experiência ocorrida e algumas das ideias que Oersted estabeleceu para dar sentido ao fenômeno observado. Posteriormente, novos experimentos são estabelecidos no âmbito do que ele assumiu como eletromagnetismo.
