Sumario:We study the works of three notable expelled Chilean Jesuits (Manuel Lacunza, Juan Ignacio Molina and Felipe Gómez de Vidaurre) from the point of view of the Greco-Roman classical and mythological tradition. Regarding the millenarian theologi-an, Lacunza is irrelevant. but Molina and Gómez Vidaurre were historians who maintained ties of friendship and the corresponding intellectual influence, although the result of their works differed notably in their treatment of mythology.
