Sumario:The purpose of this article is to explore the idea of the Jesuit economic cycle in the New Kingdom of Granada, in the 18th century, based on the case of the la Chamicera hacienda of the Colegio Máximo de Santa Fe (Bogotá). From the understanding of the Cham-icera as the head of a network of haciendas that nourished the Colegio Máximo, it will be possible to observe both the peculiarities of the haciendas of the Province of Santa Fe, as well as the socioeconomic aspects that formed the haciendas of the region overall. The Jesuit economic cycle was effective enough to sustain the vast Jesuit project in the region, also relating to the civil world and market.
