| Sumario: | This essay studies the administrative work performed by Jesuit Pablo Joseph de Arriaga as rector of the Arequipa College (1609-1612). Based on an unpublished judicial file on a lawsuit that Father Arriaga followed against the royal officers for the alms of wine, oil and medicines, the social conflicts and destruction suffered by the properties of the aforementioned school were affected as a result of the movements telluric that suffered the province in the first years of the seventeenth century. |
