Sumario:This article seeks to analyze the presence of separatist movements in Quebec and Northern Ireland following the concept of regionalism proposed by Ralph Krueger and of nationalism developed by Garth Stevenson. To this end, there will be a reference to the the history of both regions, a study of the impact of nationalism and separatism since the 1960s —detailing the constitutional crises in Canada and the Troubles in Northern Ireland—, and an assessment of contemporary political developments to determine whether separation is a possibility in the near future.
