Sumario:In our work we will analyze the “Bartleby syndrome” (Vila-Matas, 2016, 13), a critical appreciation of literature at the end of the century, which originated in the reflections of the narrator of Bartleby and company (2000). We also study the figuration of the narrator constructed in this novel by the author, Marcelo, a hunchbacked and solitary narrator who writes a very particular diary, and who seems to project himself at times by means of other “faces, masks, characters.” (Pozuelo Yvancos, 2010, 148)
