Sumario:“New comparativism” is understood today as a discipline which is neitherrestricted to binary studies among works, authors or literary movements, nor exclusively devoted to the canon of Western tradition, but rather receptive to any kind of literary or cultural expression and to other areas of knowledge, in search of a true dialogue among cultures. We will discuss some of the efforts in Latin America for the establishment of this dialogue, as well as the possibility of constituting what has been designated lately as a “Latin American geoculture.”
