At various points related to the modernization programs of Argentine culture of the time and to the winds that came especially from Annales; and more generally from economic history, the personal and group project would suffer the impact of the general debacle of the institutions and of Argentina as a whole. El artículo explora la trayectoria historiográfica de Haydée Gorostegui de Torres y a través de ella las posibilidades y los obstáculos de una nueva historia en la Argentina de los años sesenta. En varios puntos emparentado con los programas de modernización de la cultura argentina de la época y con los vientos que provenían en especial de Annales y más en general de la historia económica, el proyecto personal y grupal sufriría el impacto de la debacle general de las instituciones y de la Argentina toda.
