| Sumario: | In the following article I will take an approach to the history of recent Villamariense theater. Considering the insufficient coverage of the local theater as an object of study, the lack of conditions for safeguarding and archiving theatrical memories and the conditions of possibility to enter the field from different ways, I will take as a corpus the book Mutis por Foro by Virginia Ventura (2022). For this, I will describe some problems linked to the local and regional historiography of the city of Villa María with the objective of producing a contextualization of the geo-imaginary nodes of the city by those who produce theater, in analytical contrast to Villa María as a city-region projected from state institutions.
