| Sumario: | The objective of this work is to show that Environmental Impact Studies constitute an incessant ontological and epistemic colonization of heritage, an effect of neo-colonial and neo-extractivist modernity. They are fundamental devices in the creation of the ruins of mining progress in San Juan and have an active role in the suppression and omission of relationships and their meanings in the territories of life. Methodology: Constellating between ruins, riches, destruction and violence, this work adopts a situated archaeological ethnography methodological perspective. Contribution to knowledge: Contributes to the field of mining neo-extractivism studies in Argentina and South America, and to critical studies of heritage and archaeology. |
