Sumario:This article approaches ecoperformance, a performing arts concept coined by the Brazilian choreographer Maura Baiocchi and formulated in collaboration with the German theater director Wolfgang Pannek. In the first part the article introduces to this subject by detailing the goals, the program and the results of the 1st International Ecoperformance Festival, a project conceived by Baiocchi and produced in March 2021 by the group she founded, Taanteatro Companhia. The second part of the article contextualizes the concept of ecoperformance within the scope of the choreographer's artistic trajectory and a set of her conceptual creations (tension, ecorporeality, schizopresence), constitutive of taanteatro or choreographic theater of tensions. In its third part, and based on the preceding conceptual considerations, the article outlines the proposal for a reorientation of the performing arts: its departure from an anthroposcene towards a symbioscene.
