Sumario:Based on commemoration of 15 years of Laboratory of Psychological and Educational Assessment (LEPE), the present article was prepared. History of LEPE is described concerning to its origin, development and current trend. Moreover, results from a bibliometric study of first ten years of publication of Evaluar Scientific Journal edited by the laboratory since 2001 are presented. Findings revealed that Evaluar has a 1.11 impact factor and an insularity index of 14%, ranking amongst high impact journals of Latin American context and with a broad international profile. Furthermore, a gradually and statistically significant reduction ininbreeding index was observed (t = 2.45; p ˂ .05), changing from an average of 51% to 19%. Regarding both historical review and bibliometric analysis, we conclude that LEPE and Evaluar Journal had a flourishing growth and contributed to advance of Psychometry and Psychological Assessment in our country .
