The patients svere div ided by el inical manilestations in : l-Accelerated reactions (n: 19); and 2- Inmediate reaclions (n: II). The Prick tests weic perfurmed with UPU - PL, Ax - PL, Amp - PL. MDM - BID. MDM-Ax. MDM-Amp. The accelerated group presented BPO- PL (+) in 2 cases, Ax-PL & Amp-PL (±) in 4 cases, andall of the reactives were (-1-) iii 13 out o! 19 cases. The immediate group presente(¡ MDM-BP () in 10 out of]! cases and MDM - Amp vas (+) in] out of! 1 cases. The RAST 's were perfornied in al ¡ patieii1s(n:30). la accelerated group were (- ) tu BPO -PL tu 13 out oíl9 cases, tu Ax-PL in 3 out of' 19 cases, tu Amp - PL in 1 out 19 cases. lo BPO - PL and Ax-PL un overlap in 1 out oí' 19 cases. and 1 case vas negative to al! reactives. The ininediate group presented RAST s negatives i n II out of II cases. The control group (11:20)presented Prick (i ) to Ax - PL in ¡ out of 20 cases, and the others reactives were negetives in al! cases. The RAST sto a!! reactives were (- ) in 20outof20subjects. These results indicete that BPO was thc niost iniportant deterniinant, and the sidc chain of the Ax or Arnp were others detcrminants oí' the (3 - Lactanis drugs. These determinants induced specific IgE, and ¡ti rare ocations appears specific IgE for two ditferenl deterniinants un overlap in the saine patient. 1]ic intradermal skin testing is the method oí' chotee to study the pcnicillin allergies, because non satistactury RAST's have yct been developed for niinur detenninant- specific IgE antibodies. |
