Sumario:Morphology and distribution of Dolotortula mniifolia and Trachyphyllum dusenii (Bryophyta) in Panama. The genus Dolotortula, and the species D. mniifolia, are reported for the first time for Panama. Branched stems and multistratose yellow leaf border with 5-6 rows of stereids (in cross section) are described for the first time for the Central American populations of D. miniifolia. The morphology and geographical distribution of Trachyphyllum and the species T. dusenii, recently reported for Panama, are revised and updated. Perichaetial leaves with weakly serrulate margins are described for the first time for T. dusenii. The report of this species in Panama represents the northernmost distribution known for the species in tropical America and includes the only populations known for the species in the pacific coast. An updated geographical distribution for both species is presented. Key
