The Djalma School of Cinema/CINEAD investigated, with its filmmaking action shared between the teacher and students, the history of the Vidigal favela, Rio de Janeiro. From this gesture, an entire field of research is constituted, and with it the discovery and restoration of, in partnership with the Cinemateca of MAM-Rio, of Super-8 images, photographs, and cassette tapes about the resistance of the residents of the Vidigal favela against their removal to the Antares/Santa Cruz Housing Complex in 1977/78. The article develops part of this research’s trajectory with the development of a memory of the favela’s struggle and resistance in the school. El artículo aborda una reflexión impregnada de la filosofía de Walter Benjamin y Giorgio Agambem que surge de una práctica de la vida escolar cotidiana articulada con la comunidad, el cine, la filmoteca y la universidad. La Escuela de Cine de Djalma/CINEAD investigó, con el gesto de creación cinematográfica compartido entre la profesora y sus estudiantes, la historia de la favela de Vidigal, Río de Janeiro. A partir de esta apuesta, se constituye todo un campo de investigación, y con él el descubrimiento y restauración, en alianza con la Cinemateca do MAM-Rio, de imágenes Super-8, fotografías y casetes sobre la lucha de los vecinos de las favelas de Vidigal contra su traslado al Conjunto Habitacional Antares / Santa Cruz en 1977/78. El artículo desarrolla parte de esta trayectoria de investigación con la elaboración de un recuerdo de la lucha de la favela en la escuela.
