| Sumario: | This article aims at challenging the politics of university outreach generated by the Outreach Undersecretary of Universidad Nacional del Sur (UNS, Bahía Blanca, Argentina) in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2020, Argentine universities – and those all over the whole world – restructured their development forced by the new emerging conditions. Therefore, the functions of teaching, outreach, research and management have been carried out in different ways in order to face the crisis depending on the background of institutions and the interests of those who participate in the decision-making process. The approach we propose inquires in the way that local outreach has been understood and how it has changed in time depending on regulations and historical contexts. |
