Sumario:The archaeology of conflict has emerged in recent decades as one of the most dynamic sub-disciplines within archaeology. In Argentina, stands out the study of the 19th century conflicts, both in the Frontier line and the civil wars. Despite this dynamism, methodological proposals for approaching past armed conflicts from the materiality they have generated themselves are scarce. Despite this expansion, methodological frameworks for the analysis of past armed conflicts through the material traces they have produced remain limited. The absence of robust precedents compelled the author to engage with a diverse array of archaeological sources and contexts, each presenting specific challenges that required the deployment of varied methodological approaches. This article summarises the procedures used in this research. First, the study topic is introduced. Then, the objectives are listed. This is followed by an explanation of the sources consulted, the methodological corpus and its application during fieldwork. We also pay attention to the procedures we used to obtain, represent and manage the data. The next section discusses a number of issues related to the data and the research carried out. The article ends with some general conclusions.
