Sumario:In the context of southamerican territories where existed missions founded by Jesuit (1609- 1768) in coexistence with indigeneous groups, much of them were part of an occupational continuity, through reconstructions and different process of reutilization over time. Nowadays Misiones´s province has many archaeological sites with these characters, located in places and towns of the region. In this work we present part of results from the project called “Archaeological recues as elements of heritage and activation in urban sites”, realized by CONICET´s posdoctoral fellowship. From archaeological research, we show excavation´s work and some most important findings of the reduction´s site “Nuestra Señora de la Concepción de Ibitiracua” or Concepción, founded in 1619. In addition to telling the proposed methodology, we also counted about the challenge of digging in wet soils from local jungles, which have different processes of site formation in antropical way, with material and spacial reuse. In this way the main objective is to contribute to archaeological investigations that focus on reductions and add to the corpus of information, metodological proposes of exploration in sites with urban contexts such as our case of study.
