| Sumario: | Archaeological studies carried out in a residential unit of the "Lomita del medio" site, which can be dated to the first millennium AD, have allowed us to identify the presence of 11 pits. The main objective of this paper is to discuss the role that these pits had in the daily life of the inhabitants of La Cienega.
