The last millennium AC population was dedicated to agriculture and animal management and husbandry when policies from Cusco asume relevant presence in the region. In this paper we propose to analyze how visibility of landscape would have been a weighty criterion for the installation of prehispanic architecture. Preliminary results suggest that this variable would not have played a transcendental role in the organization of the space. On the contrary, local sites apears to be more relevant about this variable. El sector norte del Valle Calchaquí ha sido intensamente ocupado desde momentos tempranos. La población del último milenio de la Era Cristiana se dedicaba a la agricultura y cría de animales cuando las políticas cusqueñas se hicieron presentes en el Valle. En este trabajo nos proponemos analizar de qué manera la visibilidad del paisaje habría sido un criterio de peso para la instalación de la arquitectura prehispánica. Los resultados preliminares sugieren que esta variable no habría jugado un rol trascendental en la organización del espacio, y que, por el contrario, los sitios locales presentan un mayor alcance en esta variable. A população do último milênio da Era Cristã foi dedicada à agricultura e à criação de animais quando as políticas cusquenianas estavam presentes no Vale. Neste documento propomos analisar como a visibilidade da paisagem teria sido um critério importante para a instalação da arquitetura pré-hispânica. Os resultados preliminares sugerem que esta variável não teria desempenhado um papel transcendental na organização do espaço e que, ao contrário, os locais mostram uma maior abrangência nesta variável.
