| Sumario: | Within the frame of 0 of Christian era lithic assemblages studies from different areas in NWA (among them Lerma Valley) we carried out an archaeological survey near SSalLav (8) site, in Valle de Lerma, in Salta province. The main goal was to acquire information about prehispanic occupations in the study area. We recorded superficial characteristics to establish the study potential, detect patterns and to observe the ecological frame and lithic resources availability in the area. These tasks have as final goal to provide a contextual frame to study case. Field work has revealed a meaningful archaeological study potential in spite of being subject of constant perturbation. We could determine that the archaeological material concentrations present patterns of lithic raw material exploitation similar to those registered in nearby sites. |
