Sumario:This work is part of a broader project aimed at contributing to the education of pre-service physics teachers during the development of an electromagnetic phenomena course. In this article, we share the criteria that were used to design and implement an instructional innovation at that level. The innovative proposal described here, along with its preliminary results, aims for pre-service teachers to learn both physics content and teaching methods simultaneously. The design is grounded in research outcomes in science education and is in line with the curriculum prescribed by the Province of Córdoba for the physics teaching career. The proposal was implemented during the years 2022 and 2023. The emerging results from the implementation showcase a potential pathway to enhance the teacher training for education students, fostering the integration of disciplinary and pedagogical knowledge. This approach ensures that preservice teachers not only grasp the content but also acquire strategies for effective instruction.
