Sumario:This article aims to address a series of reflections, theoretical debates and open questions regarding the intersection between care policies and income transfer policies in Argentina. Taking into account the centrality that both assume in the current social and political agenda, it is based on the interest in recognizing the points in which both fields dialogue and the ways in which these links are produced. In this sense, community care constitutes a key space to analyze this intersection, its historical developments and its protagonists. For decades, community organization processes around care have been an expression of popular resistance in the context of neoliberal project. It is essential to debate the conditions in which such work is produced and its importance in the fight to defamiliarize and decommodify care. Finally, and considering that the debate regarding their remuneration is only one of the aspects that make up the complexity of the subject, we share some guidelines in order to revalue counter-hegemonic component of care in the dispute for construction another horizons of present and future.
