Sumario:This writing is the result of a reflective process carried out within the framework of the Social Work Residency at a general acute hospital in the southern part of the City of Buenos Aires. This process arose from the insertion and professional intervention in a domestic violence program that operates in a Health and Community Action Center in the hospital's program area. It is proposed to question and analyze the sensations, inquiries and doubts caused on me by women going through violent situations and their difficulties in the continuity of the program. This can be translated into the effects generated by listening to stories of violence. The experience was prior to the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the dimensions analyzed can also be a current issue as the context of isolation exacerbates the risks of violence and the difficulties in having access to assistance and protection services. Finally, we reflect on the role of Social Work and the first level of health care in the issue addressed in order to transcend the promotion of women's rights to live a life free of violence.
