Sumario:This article aims to make visible the construction of gender stereotypes and their reproduction in children in the Libertad neighborhood in the city of Mar del Plata in order to identify the heteronorm discourses and practices, and the meanings and significance of gender and children, that circulate in territorial institutions. The challenge is to rethink children as subjects of rights, and gender stereotypes as public policy, framed in a local, regional and Latin American context. Although there is interest in territorial actors on the subject of gender, it is not linked to the age range mentioned, nor has it been formalized in documents or articles, which is why this work is a pioneer in the study of these categories in the Libertad neighborhood. The study is part of an exploratory-descriptive research, in pursuit of a broad and representative view, which took into account the plurality of voices, through observation and in-depth interviews with various organizations. Likewise, it is worth noting that this study was constructed within the framework of my thesis for the degree in Social Work at the National University of Mar Del Plata.
