| Sumario: | This article was written in collaboration by a group of Social Work professionals, based on their insertion in the Interdisciplinary Residence in Mental Health for Children and Young People (RISaMIJ [initals in spanish]). It's objective is to reflect about the theme of the Social Question from the Mental Health field, focusing on the particular population whom we work with: children and young people. That way, this write-up supposes a recursive process between theoretical reflexion and professional practice. This paper begins with an approach to the fundamental concept of the Social Question, reviewing different authors and theoretical perspectives on the matter, and recognizing the various ways it maniffests. Then form the mentioned theoretical argumentations we delve into the specific problematics of mental health for children and young people. Starting from the singularity of these sufferings, we trace relationships between mental health and the Social Question. Lastly, and as a conclusion, some of their implications at the intervention in the context of the RISaM IJ are discussed. |
