A situational panorama is described based on the quantitative and qualitative analysis of classroom practice, carried out in different educational institutions. Likewise, based on the teacher training implemented in the jurisdiction, alternatives are offered to review and rethink the practice itself, contributing at the same time to the critical analysis of science teacher training. Finally, it is proposed to evaluate the transpositional effects of the training, a work that is in full development stage. Este trabajo muestra los resultados de algunas reflexiones que surgen del estudio que, desde 1993, se lleva a cabo sobre la enseñanza de las Ciencias Naturales en la provincia de Salta (Argentina), como un aporte más a la transformación educativa en el área. Se describe un panorama situacional en base al análisis cuantitativo y cualitativo de la práctica áulica, efectuado en diversas instituciones educativas. Asimismo, a partir de la capacitación docente instrumentada en la jurisdicción, se ofrece alternativas para revisar y replantear la propia práctica, contribuyendo a la vez al análisis crítico de la formación docente en ciencias. Finalmente, se propone evaluar los efectos transposicionales de la capacitación, trabajo que se encuentra en plena etapa de desarrollo.
