This manuscript presents the results of an inter-institutional effort to introduce this tool in the planning of a problem-based learning strategy. This tool was finally tested in the classrooms and showed that it could introduce practical Microbiology in the activities of high school education in Uruguay. El objetivo de este trabajo fue desarrollar una herramienta práctica para la enseñanza de la Microbiología, que proporcione a profesores y estudiantes de enseñanza secundaria una experiencia atractiva, que permita adquirir capacidades científicas vinculadas al aprendizaje por indagación y conduzca a un interés mayor en la Microbiología como un tema, un campo de estudio, o una carrera. Este trabajo presenta los resultados de un esfuerzo interinstitucional para introducir una herramienta práctica en la planificación de una estrategia de aprendizaje por indagación.
