Its main objective was the revaluation of native vegetation as a way of appreciating local culture. During the meetings held with teachers, we tried to reflect on the usefulness of native plants, their conservation status and about our role in their recovery, particularly through the revaluation and rescue of local traditional knowledge. En el presente trabajo se relata una experiencia dirigida a docentes de Neuquén  (Norpatagonia, Argentina). Su principal objetivo fue la revalorización de la vegetación nativa como vía para apreciar la cultura local. Durante los encuentros con los docentes se propendió a reflexionar sobre la utilidad de las plantas nativas, su estado de conservación y sobre nuestro rol en su recuperación, sobre todo a través de la revalorización y rescate de los saberes tradicionales locales.
