| Sumario: | The year 1948 is a key year in the Palestinian problem because it marksa historical turning point in a conflict which still exists today. Theconflict represents one of the largest events in the history of the 20thcentury and has lasting repercussions, not only in the Middle East,but also in the rest of the world. Accordingly, these events that seemfar away from us are in reality made closer by the presence of largeArab and Jewish communities in Córdoba. Within this framework weare interested in looking at how the events of 1948 left their mark inCórdoba, for which we searched the two main newspapers of the time:La Voz del Interior and Los Principios. Keeping in mind that massmedia was a public outlet where people could channel their frustrationswith society, it is important to separate the biases of the two periodicalsso as to reveal the actual representation of the events that created thetensions that occurred in Palestine, an area of vital importance to themain three monotheistic religions of the planet: Islam, Christianity,and Judaism. |
