According to many expectations, the combination“democracy - structural adjustment” was the way out to achieveboth governability and a sustained development of the region.Debates about this issue and the results of the “democracy of adjustment”are open and contradictory.This research aims at a preliminary definition of concurrent componentsand factors from the historical viewpoint which, in accordancewith this performance, has had some influence on the binomial “governability- democracy” in Africa. |
