The chickpea seeds were cured and inoculated. 30 seeds m-2 were sown in chickpea and 200 seeds m-2 in wheat. Each experimental unit consisted of 4 rows of 5 m long spaced 0.35 m apart in chickpea and 0.20 m in wheat. A randomized complete block experimental design with 3 replications was used. From the 2 central furrows a sample of 1.4 m-2 (chickpea) and 1.0 m-2 (wheat) was taken. The variables were measured: grain yield (kg ha-1) and weight of 1000 grains (g) and the variable: number of grains per m-2 was calculated. The economic indicators were calculated: Gross Income (IB), Direct Costs (CD) and Gross Margin (MB) of each crop. The information was statistically analyzed using the InfoStat program. Significant differences were observed between the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons for yield and in one of its components for both crops. Regarding the economic analysis, it showed that wheat is more profitable than chickpea in the central region of the province of Córdoba for the analyzed biennium.

El trigo es uno de los principales cultivos en la región centro de la provincia de Córdoba, mientras que el garbanzo comenzó a sembrarse a partir de la campaña 2011/12. El resultado económico para la legumbre fue más favorable que para el trigo. Sin embargo, por la caída en el precio del garbanzo durante las dos últimas campañas, 2019/20 y 2020/21, el trigo mostró un mejor desempeño que la legumbre. El objetivo del presente trabajo es analizar el rendimiento en grano y el económico de los cultivos de trigo y garbanzo en la región centro de la provincia de Córdoba, en las campañas agrícolas 2019/20 y 2020/21. Se sembró la variedad de garbanzo “Norteño” y de trigo para pan “Klein Guerrero”, el 14 de mayo del 2019 y para el año 2020, el 2 de mayo. Las semillas del garbanzo fueron curadas e inoculadas. Se sembraron 30 semillas m-2 en el garbanzo y 200 semillas m-2 en el trigo. Cada unidad experimental estuvo constituida por 4 surcos de 5 m de longitud distanciados por 0.35 m en el garbanzo y por 0.20 m en el trigo. Se recurrió a un diseño experimental en bloques completos al azar con 3 repeticiones. A partir de los 2 surcos centrales se tomó una muestra de 1.4 m-2 (garbanzo) y 1.0 m-2 (trigo). Se midieron las variables: rendimiento en grano (kg ha-1) y peso de 1000 granos (g) y se calculó la variable: número de granos por m-2. Se calcularon los indicadores económicos: Ingreso Bruto (IB), Costos Directos (CD) y Margen Bruto (MB) de cada cultivo. La información se analizó estadísticamente utilizando el programa InfoStat., Se observaron diferencias significativas entre las campañas 2019/20 y 2020/21 para el rendimiento y en uno de sus componentes para ambos cultivos.
