In this framework, the general purpose was to account for the movements of the various actors in the complex political game of the period 1980-1983 in the province of Neuquén. The aim was to analyze, in particular, how the party centrality of the Neuquén Popular Movement, the provincial political party, gave it a certain dynamic, making the transition a transition to the "neuquina", in which federalism functioned as the registration surface of a political debate. “Transición democrática a la “neuquina” ha procurado aportar a los trabajos sobre transición llevados a cabo desde los principales espacios nacionales. Para ello, se ensayó, inicialmente, una periodización a los efectos de complejizar la tradicional versión que asume la Guerra de las Malvinas como el inicio de este proceso. En este marco, el propósito general fue dar cuenta de los movimientos de los diversos actores en el complejo juego político del período 1980-1983 en la provincia del Neuquén. Se buscó analizar, en particular, cómo la centralidad partidaria del Movimiento Popular Neuquino, partido político provincial, le imprimió cierta dinámica, haciendo de la transición, una transición a la “neuquina”, en la que el federalismo funcionó como la superficie de inscripción de un debate político.
