For this purpose, the causes, principies and practices that allowed the government solving the ecclesiastical matters were investigated. Keeping in mind that all the post-independence governments acted as holders of patronage of their "Churches ", the government acts and their marks of genuineness that agreed to the decisions are studied. So, the decisions of the central government of Buenos Aires related to other distant regions of the Provincias Unidas are observed through the case study of Córdoba, one of the Provincias Unidas counties. This example will show certain characteristic Unes of the period -such as the joint politics as an explanatory variable of the failure of the central governments. This fact is manifested in their impossibility of governing the spaces of the ancient viceroyalty where the colonial power had deployed their own dynamics strengthening the local élites. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo conocer como se administraron los asuntos eclesiásticos entre 1810 y 1821. Los cuestiones tratadas en el trabajo son las causas, los principios y las prácticas que permitieron a los distintos gobiernos, resolver los problemas relativos a la Iglesia. Teniendo en cuenta que todos los gobiernos posteriores a la Independencia actuaron como patronos se estudian las medidas tomadas y el marco de legitimidad acordado a sus decisiones. Las disposiciones del gobierno central referentes espacios lejanos a Buenos Aires, son observadas a través del caso de la Provincia de Córdoba. Dicho ejemplo muestra ciertos trazos característicos del periodo tales como la coyuntura política, en tanto variable explicativa del fracaso de los gobiernos centrales. Este hecho se manifiesta en la imposibilidad de gobernar los espacios del ex virreinato dónde el poder colonial había desplegado su propia dinámica fortaleciendo a las elites locales.
