For that purpose, I analyze the children´s magazine Billiken from its launching in the market, in 1919, until 1936, when it is noticeable that it has become a model for other similar publications. The communication formula of the children´s magazine of teaching and entertaining, of stimulating the imagination and trying to channel the children´s actions, of presenting educational material, at the same time that the columns that appear to be counterhegemonic in the school field were a fertile ground for several childhood representations to coexist. This way, by analyzing the work of Constancio Cecilio Vigil -director and then editor of the magazine- and the sections provided by Billiken, this paper aims to identify the proposed child´s model and the tension that may arise from that construction and from other representations of childhood that circulate inside the same magazine.  Este artículo pretende ampliar y enriquecer las miradas sobre los niños, en cuanto construcción cultural, en las primeras décadas del siglo XX. Para ello analizo la revista infantil Billiken desde su presentación en el mercado, en 1919, hasta 1936, cuando se evidencia que se ha constituido en un modelo para otras publicaciones similares. La fórmula comunicacional del magazine infantil de instruir y entretener, de estimular la imaginación e intentar encauzar las acciones infantiles, de presentar material educativo al mismo tiempo que columnas que aparecen como contrahegemónicas en el ámbito escolar era un terreno fértil para que convivieran diversas representaciones de la niñez. Así, a través del examen de la obra de Constancio Cecilio Vigil -director y luego supervisor del semanario- y de las secciones que ofrece Billiken, este trabajo busca identificar el modelo de niño propuesto y las tensiones que surgen dentro de esa misma construcción y frente a otras representaciones de la infancia que circulan en la misma revista.
