This paper follows the line of investigation launched in Italy by Fabrizio Bisconti, who recently doubted about the Christian function of the so called “Private Oratories” of Aquileia. Este trabajo pretende demostrar, a través de un análisis histórico e iconográfico, que un edificio tardoantiguo descubierto en Treviso pertenece a una tradición cultural pagana. Se infiere que las interpretaciones predominantes, que lo asimilan a una tradición cristiana, en particular a un baptisterio, son inadecuadas. Este artículo sigue la línea de investigación inaugurada en Italia por Fabrizio Bisconti, que recientemente ha puesto en duda la función cristiana de los llamados “Oratorios Privados” de Aquilea.
