Sumario:This work addresses some aspects of the construction of cultural otherness in a globalized world, interconnected with multiple possibilities of transit and movement. The designation of foreigner acquires particular stigmatizing biases in the framework of the massive migrations observed in the first decades of the 21st century and whose magnitude, the phenomenon received was named for the press with the generic label of Refugee crisis. According to their origin and ethnic-cultural-religious traits, these foreigners who arrive at the borders of the most prosperous or developed countries through irregular routes, are perceived like a threatening otherness, typical of an invading enemy that constitutes a danger that must be protected.
