Sumario:Over the years, in the CDMX and its conurbation with the eastern part of the State of Mexico, houses have been built in a territory that has not been planned, which has caused violent transformations in its natural areas, its inhabitants, activities and culture. In addition to this, there has been an increase in the appearance of residual sites, spaces in the city that are deprived of a purpose; as proof of the underutilization or poor distribution of resources in the metropolis. On the other hand, the integration of policies for the improvement of the quality of life of the disproportionate growth of the urban stain has left aside the importance of the implementation of recreational and inclusive public spaces for social benefit. Consequently, residual spaces can be used for a city to find new balances through the design and provision of inclusive, safe and accessible public spaces, since public space is a common good and is a key factor for the improvement of the quality of life and the fulfillment of human rights.
